Profundus - Cave Diving Horror

Premise:

You play someone stuck in a tight cave. You'll have to use your mouse to drag yourself out of the tunnel to hopefully escape The Persecutor.

The game lasts about half an hour and has a definitive ending. So hang (or rather crawl) in there! :D

Lore:

You are trapped inside a cave system. A familiar voice is talking to you through your walkie talkie. It tells you about The Company. About Profundus Gehenna. About The Persecutor.
The Persecutor is following you relentlessly. Your only weapon is The Light. Can you escape The Persecutor? Can you escape The Company? Can you escape Profundus Gehenna?

(Hint: The lore text in the game disappear after 10 seconds. We sadly can't fix it because this is a submission to the Game Off 2025 Jam. But please take this cookie as an apology 🍪)

Features:

- Use your mouse to drag yourself through tight passages.

Controls:

RMB - Flash

Hold LMB - crawl and to break barriers

WASD - move in walking areas

CTRL - duck in walking areas

Escape - pause

"Eye" UI elements - to turn around or look forward

Known bugs / issues:

• Lore texts disappear too fast
• The camera can glitch around during a jumpscare if you enter or exit a tight passage during the animation
• The Jumpscare animation can get repeated indefinitely (did not find the reason for that yet) :(
